Southern Most Point

Key West FL

Key West FL

Southern Most Point

Southern Most Point

This is the monument at the southern most point of the continental USA, 90 miles to Cuba. I took this photo early in the morning when there was only one other person around. Later in the day this area gets very crowded with people wanting to take their picture next to the monument.

The monument says

Southernmost Point USA

90 miles to Cuba

I took this photo from Higgs Beach before the sun rose.

Spooky South Beach Sunrise

Spooky South Beach Sunrise

The camera shutter speed at 1/2000 of a second gave this type of affect showing the sun as a white ball.

A spooky sunrise

This was a long exposure photo I took of the gazebo before sunrise.

Rest Beach Pier Sunrise

I took this sunrise photo standing on the Rise Beach pier. Look closely and you'll see a faint arc across the clouds.

Sun's Halo

Sun's Halo

I took this early morning sunrise photo from Rise Beach. With the naked eye, at least mine, the sun was too bright to stare at.

Sun’s halo today

Too bright for the naked eye

Photo captured it

Sunrise Curtain

Sunrise Curtain

I took this sunrise photo from the African Cemetery at Higgs Beach.

Curtain falls, our

will end tomorrow

I took this photo from top of the 65 ft Wrecker’s Tower. I believe the sail boat is from Classic Harbor Line (305-293-7245)

Sunshine On The Water

Sunshine On The Water

Because of the bright sunlight hitting the water an illusion is created. At least to me, it looks like I'm looking up at the boats.

The sun lit water

creates a nice illusion
